U11 Winter Cricket 2018
To celebrate BSA's 60th anniversary, we are excited to launch the BSA Cricket Academy which recognises the increasing cultural diverseness of our community.
The BSA U11 winter cricket academy is open to girls & boys aged 7, 8, 9 and 10, born in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
To help celebrate our inaugural cricket programme, we are offering registration at a reduced cost for all members!
This four week programme starts on 3 February and concludes on 24 February. Each session is for two hours (1630h to 1830h) and consists of:
Week 1
Introduction
Warm-up including LTAD drills cricket related.
(LTAD = Long Term Athletic Development)
Basic front foot drives and defence.
Basic bowling action from standing position.
Front foot drives.
Cool down and evaluation.
Week 2
Review of week 1
Warm-up including ABCS drills and fielding
(ABCS = (Agility, Balance, Coordination, Speed)
Basic back foot punch and defence
Back foot pull shot
Bound and bowl - focus on balance and forward momentum
Lords game pull shot
Cool down and evaluation
Week 3
Review of week 2
Warm-up / Tabata + fielding skills
Striking the ball - focus on weight transfer, head position arm extension, hip rotation, placement etc
Decision making drills with respect to front foot drives
Bowl with a walk up then a jog up
Pairs cricket then a short catching session
Cool down and evaluation
Week 4
Warm - up
Fun games
Pairs or team matches.
Cool down and evaluation
Numbers are strictly limited. In order to secure your child’s place, please register and complete your payment. After you submit your registration, you may register another child by selecting "Invoice Me" or proceed to payment via your family account. Registrations received after we have reached our maximum number of players will be placed on a waitlist.

- Early registration - Payment received before 27 January 2018
- Regular registration - Payment received before 3 February 20118
- Late registrations - Payments made after the season has begun on 3 February 2018.
