Q: When are the trainings?
A: Depending on the sport, trainings will either be during the week or on the weekend. Details on the training days/times are listed by age/team and sport on each sports registration page.
Q: Where do the trainings and games take place?
A: Most of our trainings and games take place at the International School of Brussels (ISB). We also may partner with St. John's and other local organizations to provide gym and field space. Your season schedule will include details about where each training and game will be held.
Q: Who are the BSA coaches?
A: BSA coaches are dedicated volunteers (often parents of team members) who offer their time to support BSA in the mission of bringing quality, community-centered sports programming to any child who wishes to play – regardless of the child’s background or ability.
Q: Do the coaches have any training or support?
Volunteer coaches participate in a volunteer coaches’ orientation prior to each season. Moreover, they are supported by the BSA Sports Director for the specific sport they are coaching and Managing Director who can help manage any concerns.
Q: What if I haven't played the sport in years?
BSA relies on the dedication and generosity of our volunteer coaches and we welcome new parents to get involved – even if you haven’t played in years! We are happy to help connect you with more experienced coaches and we're here to answer any questions as they arise. Plus - you'll likely find you remember more than you think!
Q: How can I sign up to coach?
Information on how to sign up as a coach is available on our Volunteer page.
